Should the next school trip in Hannover excite the whole class and be worthwhile in teaching terms at the same time? In the escape room your pupils solve tricky puzzles together, and they pick up teamwork, communication and logical thinking as they play. At Escape Hannover, right in the Tiedthof at Goseriede 4 (5 min from the main station), with the Kids Special in Harry's School of Magic for 10 to 14 year olds.
You're in the right place if: you're a school class or a youth group, the teacher comes along as supervision free of charge, school discount 21 €/p, class sizes are no problem in Combo Mode (up to 28 people, for 10 to 13-year-olds 10 to 23 in the Kids Combo). The highest combo participant numbers are exceptional capacities with less space per person. Regular limits for individual room bookings remain unchanged.

Three formats, depending on class and age
1. Small group / half class (up to 7 pupils)
A small school group plays our Kids Special in Harry's School of Magic, set up to be beginner-friendly. Ideal for support groups, differentiation lessons or small private-school classes.
Right for: half classes, support classes, small classes
Price: from 21 € per pupil (from 6 pupils, with the 5 € school discount), 1 supervising adult per room free
2. Whole class, aged 10-13 (Kids Special and Kids Combo)
For pupils who fit the Kids Special (aged 10-13): in the Kids Combo Harry’s School of Magic (3 to 7) and the VR adventure worlds (2 to 16) run in parallel, so 10 to 23 pupils play at the same time. Up to 8 play the VR adventure worlds at once; from 9 pupils the VR headsets are shared. One supervising adult per room comes along free of charge.

3. School trips from age 14 (Combo Mode)
Older classes from age 14 can also play our more demanding rooms, for example the crime room “The Bitcoin Conspiracy” or the expedition “Hannover Dungeon”. In Combo Mode several rooms run in parallel, up to 28 pupils at the same time, and we spread larger year groups over several sessions.

Frequently asked questions about school trips
What do pupils learn in an escape room?
In an escape room pupils practise teamwork, communication, logical thinking and coping with stress under time pressure, all through play. Unlike in the classroom, there are no fixed hierarchies, so who naturally takes the lead? Who has creative ideas for solutions? This class dynamic becomes visible and can be talked through afterwards in lessons or in the class council. Particularly worthwhile in teaching terms for grades 5-10.
How much is the school discount?
5 € off per pupil, so in Combo Mode that's 21 € instead of 26 € per person. One supervising adult per room (class teacher, accompanying teacher) comes along free of charge.
From which grade / age does it make sense?
We recommend it from grade 5 (average age 10), and the Kids Special School of Magic is age-appropriate from 10. Higher grades (7-10) can also play the standard rooms Hannover Dungeon and Harry's School of Magic. The Bitcoin Conspiracy is our expert room, every pupil must be at least 14 individually, which makes it ideal for upper-school classes. Not recommended for primary-school pupils under 10.
How many pupils fit into one slot?
We handle a school class of 20-28 pupils with Combo Mode: 3 or 4 rooms in parallel at the same start time. For 10 to 13-year-olds there is the Kids Combo for 10 to 23 pupils (Harry’s School of Magic and VR adventure worlds, where the pupils share the VR headsets). Larger classes or year-group events: several sessions one after another.
How do we book as a school?
Send us a short email at info@escapehannover.de with: school name, class size, preferred date (several options), grade. We check availability, block the rooms and send a written confirmation with the school's invoice address. We recommend 2-4 weeks' notice.
What does a school trip with you cost?
21 € per pupil in Combo Mode (with the 5€ school discount). Supervising adult free of charge. For smaller class groups in individual rooms the school discount applies in the same way. Pay in person on the day (cash/card) or by invoice to the school (bank transfer after your visit), both are possible. Standard slots can also be booked online directly.
