Three formats for different birthday group sizes
1. Kids Special School of Magic, a small birthday round of 2-7 kids
The standard format for birthday children and their close circle of friends. The Kids Special at Harry's School of Magic comes with a child-friendly briefing, age-appropriate puzzles and a magical atmosphere. 60 minutes of playing time, then a group photo to celebrate. We charge for at least 3 kids.

2. VR experience, a birthday with virtual reality
For tech fans: VR adventure worlds with a child-friendly choice of games. Beat Saber, Smash Point, Fruit Ninja and more, up to 8 kids play at the same time (larger groups take turns), supervising adult free of charge as long as they only watch. Can also be booked as an add-on to a classic escape room. Story fans can play the child-friendly VR escape rooms Jungle Quest or Christmas (2 to 6 kids).

3. Kids Combo, big class birthday for 10-23 kids
If the whole class or the wider circle of friends is coming along: in the Kids Combo you play Harry’s School of Magic (3 to 7 kids) and the VR adventure worlds (2 to 16 kids) in parallel at the same start time, from 10 up to 23 kids. Up to 8 kids play the VR adventure worlds at the same time; from 9 kids the VR headsets are shared and the kids take turns. It works particularly well for class birthdays in years 5 to 8.

From what age can kids celebrate their birthday with you?
Our Kids Special at Harry's School of Magic is designed for kids aged 10 to 14, with age-appropriate puzzles that challenge without overwhelming. Individual children under 10 are possible if an adult can look after each of them one to one. The puzzles are then often too hard for them to solve on their own. We recommend VR from age 10 (10 to 16 year olds only with a supervising adult). With VR, body height matters more than age; the VR adventure worlds often work from about 7 or 8.
How many kids can take part in the birthday?
In the Kids Special 2 to 7 kids per room (plus 1 supervising adult free of charge, we charge for at least 3 kids). From 10 kids we use the Kids Combo: Harry’s School of Magic (3 to 7) and VR adventure worlds (2 to 16) in parallel, up to 23 kids. Up to 8 kids play the VR adventure worlds at the same time; from 9 kids the VR headsets are shared.
Do parents or a supervising adult have to be there?
For groups of children under 16 a supervising adult is required, and with us that person is free of charge. They're in the room with the group and only step in when needed, but the kids usually solve the puzzles themselves, which is often cooler for them.
What does a children's birthday party cost?
In the Kids Special, 3 kids cost 108 € in total, 4 kids 120 €, 5 kids 135 €, 6 kids 156 € and 7 kids 182 €, so from 6 kids it is 26 € per child. Two kids pay the same as three, because a minimum of 3 kids is charged. One supervising adult comes along free of charge. In the Kids Combo it's 26 € per child. Gift tip: vouchers are a nice alternative to the classic birthday present, you'll find them in the online shop or at reception.
Can we bring a birthday cake or snacks?
In the entrance and waiting area you can cut a cake quickly or have a few snacks, we've got a small table and a couple of chairs for that. The area isn't built for a long celebration with people staying on, presents being unwrapped or a proper cake table. For that we'd recommend cafés in Hannover city centre (5-10 min on foot) or our Escape & Eat partner restaurants (a free soft drink with every main course).
How long does a children's birthday party take with you?
The escape room block runs for about 80 minutes (15 min child-friendly briefing + 60 min playing time + photo and debrief). All in all, plan about 1.5 hours with us. For the celebration afterwards with cake and presents, a café or restaurant in Hannover city centre is the best bet.
How much lead time do we need for the booking?
Standard bookings work online straight away through the overview of available slots. For weekend slots (especially Saturday afternoons at peak times) we'd recommend 1-2 weeks' lead time. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before the slot.
